YOUR MISSION

Take the wheel of operations in Romania, one of Glovo’s largest markets, at a key moment to keep scaling the business. You will lead a team of 14 and own how we work with our 3PL partners in a market with a very specific legal and compliance context, balancing growth, cost and service while building strong relationships with partners, authorities and internal teams. This role is for a hands-on, data-driven leader who enjoys complex challenges and wants to set the operational standard for other markets.

THE JOURNEY

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a team of 14, including managers, 3PL managers and supply, partner ops and data analysts. Build a culture of ownership, accountability and high performance, and raise the bar on execution every day.

• 3PL & Partner Management: Own the relationship with our 3PL partners end to end: performance, service levels and commercial terms. Negotiate with partners to deliver results without breaking relationships, and lead the evolution of our Operational model in Romania.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Make sure our operations meet all legal, tax and labor requirements. Work closely with Legal, Tax and PR/PA, and be a credible counterpart for authorities and external counsel, anticipating risks before they materialize.

• Data-Driven Performance: Define, track and improve the KPIs that matter (cost per order, delivery time, partner performance). Turn data into clear decisions and execution plans that move the needle.

• Hands-on Operational Excellence: Get close to the operation: spend time in the field, work side by side with partners and dig into the data yourself to understand what’s really happening. Use that to design and improve processes that make our operations more efficient, scalable and resilient.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Finance, People and other local teams, and build strong bridges with Regional and HQ teams to align priorities and share best practices.

• Strategic Partnership with the GM: Work closely with the General Manager of Romania on the strategic initiatives that will shape the next phase of growth in the market.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring To The Ride

Must-haves:

• 5-8 years of experience, including 2+ years leading teams, ideally through managers or team leads.

• Experience managing external partners that run part of your operation (e.g. 3PLs, fleet providers, logistics or delivery partners): setting targets, tracking their performance and holding them accountable.

• Commercial negotiation skills: you have negotiated rates, contracts or service levels with partners or suppliers, and can show the impact (e.g. cost savings, better service levels).

• Stakeholder management: you know how to align internal and external stakeholders with different interests, from local teams to regional and HQ leadership.

• Strong analytical skills: you decide with data and are comfortable building your own analysis.

• A hands-on attitude: you lead by doing, and go deep into the details yourself when things go wrong.

• Romanian: native or C1+; English: B2+ (C1+ is a plus).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, Law or similar).

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in on-demand delivery, last-mile logistics or the gig economy.

• Experience working with legal, regulatory or public stakeholders (authorities, external counsel, compliance teams).

• Experience leading an operating model change or partner restructuring.

• MBA, C1+ English, and SQL or advanced Excel skills.
