Lead Indirect Procurement

YOUR MISSION

Tech, Finance and Legal are one of Glovo's most complex indirect categories: the largest contracts, the most powerful vendors and the highest compliance exposure. Over the next 12–18 months you will take these categories from reactive renewals to managed, multi-year category strategies with measurable savings and cash impact, while becoming the reference for how sourcing, negotiation and compliance are done across the whole Indirect Procurement team. 

THE JOURNEY 

• Own the category strategy for Tech, Finance and Legal. Partner with Engineering and IT leadership, CFO organisation (Fintech, Global Finance, Accounting, Tax) and the General Counsel's team to build 12–24 month category roadmaps tied to budget cycles and renewal calendars.

• Turn spend data into a pipeline. Run spend and procurement business analysis across your categories, spend cubes, usage baselines, benchmarks, cost analysis, etc, to identify savings, optimisation and value-creation opportunities, and own the resulting savings pipeline.

• Lead our highest-value commercial and contractual negotiations end to end, from cloud and core SaaS agreements to payment providers and law-firm panels working with Legal, InfoSec, Data Privacy and FP&A to land hard savings and complaint agreements. 

• Drive cost optimisation programmes with company-wide impact, tool consolidation, licence optimisation, vendor rationalisation and benchmarking with Tech and Finance leadership.

• Raise the bar of the team. Coach the other Category Managers on their toughest deals, support their professional development, run negotiation debriefs, and own the playbooks, templates and savings methodology the team runs on, alongside the Head of Indirect Procurement.

• Be the team's authority on the Global Procurement Policy, contracts and risk. With Legal, InfoSec, Internal Audit and Finance Controlling, keep our process audit-ready and every vendor in your categories onboarded, due-diligenced and contracted in Ariba.

• Track budget spend and savings delivery for your categories with FP&A, and deputise for the Head of Indirect Procurement in approvals, escalations and steering committees.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• 7+ years in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, with substantial time owning Tech categories (SaaS, cloud, IT services).

• A track record of leading complex, high-value negotiations with enterprise vendors (multi-year, multi-country, seven-figure TCV, and a method you can explain and teach.

• Commercial and contract literacy: MSA, SOW, DPA, SLAs, liability, termination and renewal mechanics. You negotiate clauses alongside Legal, not around them.

• A solid grounding in procurement governance: policies, approval matrices, vendor due diligence and third-party risk.

• Financial acumen: TCO models, business cases, savings methodology (hard vs. soft), cash and payment terms. Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.

• Credibility with senior stakeholders (Director / VP level): you challenge demand, say no when needed, and are still seen as a partner.

• Experience coaching or mentoring peers.  You raise a team's standard by example. 

• Fluent English (C1), written and spoken.

• SAP Ariba or another S2P suite (Coupa, Ivalua).

• Scale-up, marketplace or multi-country environment.
