About the role

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead. At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors. As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment. Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.

The Role

Join Veeva as we lead the life sciences industry’s fundamental shift from digital documents to process digitalization. As Process Architect, you will be the hands-on architect of this transition, converting legacy, document-centric processes into a modern, data-centric ecosystem within Veeva Validation Management.

We are seeking a technical lead to convert legacy documents into normalized, relational data environments. This individual understands the requirements for mapping Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation processes, turning templates and static records into fluid, searchable, and actionable information.

In this role, you will act as a digitalization expert, guiding customers from paper-heavy or paper-on-glass solutions to data-centric workflows. You will also be responsible for owning the development and maintenance of specialized tooling and methodologies required to migrate and manage data across Vault environments.

This is a work anywhere, full-time permanent role with Veeva. Our work processes are designed so that you can be productive in the environment that works best for you. This is a customer-facing role and we have no work location requirement if you are in close proximity to an airport and able to meet future travel requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with customers to extract requirements from legacy Word documents and map them into structured Vault environments
  • Reconcile customer-specific metadata to ensure data alignment and consistency across the entire validation lifecycle
  • Execute bulk data loads and manage staged data for customer workshops and process exercises
  • Partner with customers as a trusted advisor on best practices for importing and utilizing Validation Management for digitalized workflows
  • Build and maintain libraries of digital records and examples to support customer implementations of application templates
  • Develop and own the specialized tooling and methodologies required to migrate and manage relevant data across Vault environments
  • Execute billable project work across various service tiers ranging from artifact mapping to enterprise-level deployments
  • Partner with the strategy, services, and business consulting organizations to ensure an exceptional customer experience that reflects a deep understanding of validation processes across computer systems, equipment, cleaning, etc.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences validation with a deep technical understanding of CSV/A and CQV lifecycles for facilities, utilities, and manufacturing equipment
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing consulting or billable professional services role with the ability to lead technical workshops and advise executive stakeholders
  • Experience mapping complex customer business processes into standardized data languages to move organizations to paperless validation models
  • Strong working knowledge of risk-based qualification approaches and industry standards such as ASTM E2500, ISPE Baseline Guides, and Annex 15
  • Proficiency in bulk data loading tools and managing data integrity within cloud-based platforms
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying configuration gaps between legacy customer data and system templates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Bioengineering, Electrical, or related technical field)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for key customer engagements and internal meetings up to 30% with typical travel around 15%

Nice to Have

  • Active participation or leadership within ISPE, EMA, or other industry technical committees or networks
  • Direct experience leading large-scale, enterprise digital validation implementations and rollouts
  • Previous experience in organizational change management within a manufacturing or quality environment
  • Familiarity with data transfer methodologies or specialized migration tooling

Interviewing with Veeva

We value your time and believe in a transparent hiring process. Here is the process you can expect.
  • Follow the application process and submit your resume.
  • If moving to the interview stage, our process is as follows:
    1. A conversation with the hiring manager
