About the role

About the Team

The Business Marketing team helps businesses understand, adopt, and get value from OpenAI’s products. Partner Marketing brings that mission to life through the OpenAI Partner Network, helping partners communicate their value, demonstrate customer impact, and grow their businesses with OpenAI.

We work closely with Partnerships, Sales, Product Marketing, Communications, and partner organizations to turn shared opportunities into programs that drive adoption, customer engagement, and measurable business results.

About the Role

We are hiring a Program Manager to build and scale partner storytelling, customer proof, and public-facing content programs for the OpenAI Partner Network. You will own the program strategy and end-to-end delivery, from identifying compelling customer outcomes and building partner relationships to developing case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and web content.

A central responsibility is building a scalable partner customer reference program—from identifying promising stories and developing relationships to publishing case studies, whitepapers, and webinars. You will establish the processes, editorial standards, and distribution plans that make this work repeatable and build a trusted destination for partner-led customer stories.

You will also shape OpenAI Partner Network website messaging and content, support partner launches and announcements. Across these efforts, you will prioritize the stories and programs with the greatest potential to support adoption, pipeline, and partner growth.

This is a highly cross-functional individual contributor role with no people-management responsibility. It is built for someone who combines strategic judgment with hands-on execution: a curious storyteller who builds strong relationships, moves quickly, and turns ideas into finished work.

This is a hybrid role, based in office three days a week at our San Francisco office.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and own the partner customer reference program. Establish a repeatable approach to sourcing, qualifying, developing, approving, and publishing customer stories with partners. Develop internal proof points that can mature into public references as customer readiness and permissions allow.

  • Create compelling customer proof. Lead case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and other content that connects partner expertise and OpenAI capabilities to specific customer challenges, use cases, and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop partner narratives and messaging. Synthesize technical, customer, and business information into clear positioning, thought leadership, and messages for internal and external audiences.

  • Shape the OpenAI Partner Network’s web presence. Own website content strategy, messaging, and ongoing content development, working with Brand, Design, and web teams to communicate the network’s value and create a cohesive partner identity.

  • Support partner launches and communications. Develop launch narratives, messaging, announcements, and supporting content in close partnership with Partnerships, Product Marketing, Communications, Legal, and partner teams.

  • Build relationships that unlock strong stories. Work directly with partner founders, executives, marketing teams, and customers to uncover differentiated outcomes and move opportunities from initial conversation through publication.

  • Prioritize for business impact. Focus resources on opportunities that support adoption, qualified pipeline, and partner growth, balancing near-term opportunities with the long-term development of the reference program.

  • Put content to work across channels. Partner with Sales, Field Marketing, and campaign teams to bring customer proof into sales conversations, partner programs, campaigns, events, and digital experiences.

  • Create an effective operating rhythm. Maintain a clear editorial pipeline, ownership, approval process, and publishing cadence. Track reference readiness, content engagement, sales usage, and contribution to pipeline and adoption, using those insights to improve the program.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience across partner marketing, product marketing, customer marketing, content marketing, communications, or related B2B technology marketing roles.

  • Exceptional storytelling and editorial judgment, with the ability to absorb substantial information quickly and turn it into a coherent narrative, strategy, and message.

  • Experience building customer reference or storytelling programs, including developing case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and thought leadership grounded in credible customer outcomes.

  • Strong business judgment and a track record of choosing marketing investments based on customer relevance, pipeline potential, adoption, and commercial impact.

  • A hands-on approach to execution. You are comfortable conducting interviews, drafting content, developing messaging, coordinating approvals, and getting work published.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, curiosity, and persistence. You can earn trust with founders, executives, and customers, ask thoughtful questions, and follow through to bring stories to completion.

  • The ability to collaborate across Partnerships, Sales, Product Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Legal while maintaining clear ownership and momentum.

  • Experience translating technical capabilities into accessible customer value, with careful attention to accuracy, substantiation, and permissions.

  • Comfort moving between strategy and execution, building an initial version quickly, learning from results, and creating repeatable programs that scale.
