Key Responsibilities

Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs, from technical design to production.

Architecture & Scale: Own complex features and sub-systems spanning multiple services, designed for large data volumes, multi-tenancy, performance, and cost in the cloud.

Production Ownership: Investigate issues across systems, profile and optimize production code, and spot risks before they reach customers.

AI-Augmented Engineering: Use AI tooling in your daily work, with the judgment to steer, review, and challenge what it produces.

Technical Leadership: Raise the team's practices and code health through design proposals, code reviews, and mentoring.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.

7+ years of hands-on backend development, with a track record of owning significant features from design through delivery.

Deep expertise in at least one backend language among Node.js/TypeScript, PHP, Go, or Python; production experience with two or more is a strong plus.

Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on complex systems and take ownership of key parts of them, whether building from scratch or evolving what exists.

Strong fundamentals in software design and distributed systems: event-driven architectures, queues, database performance, testing.

Experience with AWS (serverless, containers, IaC) and observability tooling. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Equivalent engineering school degree or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Fluent in English and French, with clear communication, ownership mindset, and strong collaborative skills.

Where You'll Be

Based in Paris (75002), France.

Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote work.

Full time permanent contract position.
