About the role

THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

The Social Media Senior Associate will play an important role in executing and advancing FanDuel’s organic social strategy and helping shape how the brand shows up across key social platforms. This role will support the development and execution of social-first, video-forward content that strengthens brand relevance, grows and engages our audiences, and supports key business priorities.

The Senior Associate will help manage social channels, develop and publish content, identify real-time opportunities, support talent and creator integrations, and use performance insights to continuously improve our approach. This role will work closely with Brand, Creative, Partnerships, Talent, Editorial, Go-to-Market, and other cross-functional teams to bring FanDuel’s social strategy to life.

We’re seeking a creative, culturally connected, and highly engaged social marketer who understands what makes audiences stop, watch, engage, and share. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of social platforms, sports and internet culture, an audience-first mindset, and the ability to turn trends and conversations into relevant opportunities for FanDuel.

They should be comfortable independently managing day-to-day social responsibilities, contributing ideas and recommendations, using data to inform decisions, and jumping into fast-moving sports and cultural moments.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Execute FanDuel’s organic social strategy across key platforms, helping bring channel strategies, content priorities, campaigns, and audience goals to life.
  • Manage day-to-day publishing and content execution across multiple social channels, with an emphasis on video-first storytelling, platform-native content, and emerging formats that drive reach and engagement.
  • Develop and pitch timely, culturally relevant and distinctive social content that strengthens FanDuel’s connection with sports fans and customers.
  • Identify and react to real-time sports, entertainment, cultural, and platform moments where FanDuel can authentically participate in the conversation.
  • Help manage editorial calendars and publishing operations, ensuring content, assets, approvals, scheduling, and execution are accurate and timely.
  • Write and edit engaging, platform-native social copy across brand storytelling, product marketing, promotional campaigns, partnerships, talent, video, and real-time sports coverage.
  • Partner with Go-to-Market, Brand, Creative, Editorial, Partnerships, Talent, Product, and other stakeholders to translate business priorities into compelling social-first content.
  • Support organic social plans for major launches, campaigns, and tentpole moments, helping develop and execute content before, during, and after key events.
  • Work with FanDuel talent, creators, athletes, influencers, and partners to develop engaging content that extends FanDuel’s storytelling and creates authentic connections with audiences.
  • Stay closely connected to social platforms and emerging trends, identifying new features, formats, behaviors, and content opportunities that FanDuel can test.
  • Monitor social and content performance, using data and audience insights to identify learnings and recommend ways to improve future content.
  • Regularly test new creative formats, platform features, posting strategies, and audience engagement tactics to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor competitors, sports media brands, creators, and broader internet culture to identify trends and opportunities relevant to FanDuel.
  • Bring forward social platform expertise, audience insights, competitive learnings, and creative recommendations to help continuously evolve FanDuel’s organic social presence.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the social team, contributing ideas, sharing learnings, and helping maintain a high standard of execution across FanDuel’s channels.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years of professional social media, editorial, sports media, digital content, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience managing or posting for a league, team, brand, publisher, media outlet, or similar organization across platforms including X, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Strong understanding of social-first content and what works across different platforms, particularly short-form video.
  • Strong knowledge of sports, sports betting, internet culture, social trends, and the conversations that matter to sports fans.
  • Ability to identify and act on real-time social opportunities with strong creative judgment and minimal guidance.
  • Strong social copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across platforms, audiences, and content types.

  • Strong grammar skills and meticulous attention to detail.
